Kid Ink rides out on the remix to his DJ Mustard-produced single “Show Me” with 2 Chainz, Juicy J, Trey Songz, and Chris Brown. The song, which appears on his No. 1 album My Own Lane, premiered moments ago on Power 106.
The L.A. spitter puts on for the West Coast, Trey and Juicy get freaky on their verses, and 2 Chainz delivers some laughable lines (“Just bought a car, that bitch came with Grey Poupon”).
On April 1, Kid Ink will hit the road for his 21-date “My Own Lane” tour with King Los and Bizzy Crook.
While his peers were recovering from NBA All-Star Weekend, The Game got back to work, shooting a video for “Ali Bomaye” on Monday. Fresh from Houston, Chris Brown and 2 Chainz joined him on set in L.A.
Breezy posed on the hood of a Rolls-Royce Phantom while making his cameo, while 2 Chainz shot his scene in a warehouse.
The song, which features 2 Chainz and Rick Ross, appears on Game’s latest album Jesus Piece. He shot scenes with Rozay earlier this month.
Game challenged 2 Chainz to a game of dice before he jetted back to ATL. “All I’m gone say is he travelling a little lighter back to the ‘A’ ha ha ha,” joked Game.
Snoop Dogg and 2 Chainz roll with Chris Brown on “Oh Yeah.” You may recall hearing the Drumma Boy-produced song when it debuted online in early April minus the rap features. It is not scheduled to appear on Chris’ upcoming album Fortune, but you can download it on iTunes.
If you want a verse from 2 Chainz, you better get in line. The Southern rapper has amassed an arsenal of features since changing his name to Tity Boi, and he’s about to add three more high-profile collaborations to his résumé.
“It’s no secret that I’ve been working hard since day one,” the “Spend It” MC told the Durtty Boyz on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9. “A lot of projects coming out—did over 39 features last year. The ball hasn’t stopped rolling.”
He also revealed that he will be appearing on Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, Chris Brown’s Fortune, and Lil Wayne’s next album. “Be looking out for 2 Chainz on Nicki Minaj’s album, be looking out for 2 Chainz on Chris Brown’s album, be looking out for 2 Chainz on Tunechi’s album,” he said.
When he’s not guesting on someone else’s record, 2 Chainz has been readying his Def Jam debut T.R.U. 2 for a July/August release.
“It’s like all my prayers coming true,” he told Rap-Up TV on set of Teairra Mari’s video for “U Did That.” “They’re being answered—all the hard work paying off, all the seeds that I’ve planted, they’re starting to grow so there’s not a word that can tell you how I feel right now.”
