Look out the Drake’s and Kid Cudi’s, another singing rapper is on the horizon. Embattled singer Chris Brown recently announced his plans to release a mixtape that he plans to rap on in it’s entirety. Earlier today Breezy broke the news on his Twitter feed.

“New(chris brown) hip hop mixtape called “Boy In Detention” coming soon!” Brown tweeted. “And people… Yes I’m a singer so if this mixtape doesn’t reach your quota for hip hop! Simply don’t listen..”

A tattooed up C. Brown has showcased his passion for rapping over the past year, stepping up his efforts most recently on records “Look At Me Now” and Big Sean’s “My Last” but Detention will mark his first full effort spitting on a whole project.

News of Breezy releasing a mixtape dedicated strictly for the Hip-Hop heads immediately excited his fanbase.

“@chrisbrown omg why uve got no teeth” user @DaisyRobinsonx questioned. “woah that doesn’t look like you!” @itsbreezymofos chimed in.

Another fan implied that Breezy’s gold teeth puts him alongside other MCs portrayed as bad boy rappers.

Ace Hood Readies Video Featuring Chris Brown

Posted in Ace Hood, Body 2 Body,, Chris Brown, MTV with tags , , , on July 22, 2011 by breezyworld2

It’s all good for the Hood. In 2010, 23 year-old Ace Hood was feeling agony. He was on a career hiatus that lasted a year. With no records on radio, his bread and butter, money earned from concerts, started to dry up. He was going through relationship turmoil and most horrific, some of his friends were killed in the streets.

All the pain served as inspiration for his new LP, Blood, Sweat and Tears (due August 9). This Spring, Ace–the current cornerstone act on DJ Khaled’s We The Best Records–silenced all the people who said his career was over when he released one of the top anthems of 2011, “Hustle Hard.” The song, which finds Ace rapping urgently about having to overcome struggle has garnered a monumental response from both fans and artists. Lil Wayne and Rick Ross enjoyed the record so much, they asked to be on the remix.

With spins for his lead cuts in heavy rotation, Hood followed up with “Go And Get It,” where he once again rhymes about facing the most bleek circumstances such as immediate eviction.

“I wrote it on the road. I wrote the hook. Then it took me a few weeks to piece it together, the exact way I wanted it to be,” Ace said last week outside of his Miami condo. “What’s so funny, writing these records, I be looking for that chant. ‘What’s the key that’s gonna have them chanting in the clubs?’

“I put the ‘go and get it’ in,” he added. “I felt like a genius as soon as I created the record. ‘This is going to be another Hustle Hard. Something everybody can relate to. It’s living proof. I lived those circumstances. Having seven days to move out, having a cousin lose her mind.”

The Broward County native credits heavy prayer, getting back into church and a keen focus for coming out of his turmoil. As the accolades for his new music ventures continue to roll in, MTV Jams debuted “Go and Get It” on the channel last week.

“I wanted to really get the message through,” Ace, who says he’s honored by the Jams nod, explained of the clip. “I wanted it to be as real as possible. We took it to Deerfield Beach and shot it in the heart of my city. It represented my circumstances. It showed a young kid whose willing to do whatever it took in order to provide for his family. As opposed to taking the stupid way out, I chose the right way. As opposed to picking up artillery, I grabbed my CDs and walked into the store [to sell them.] As opposed to thinking about robbing the joint.”

As the release date for his third LP nears, Ace is back in heavy promo. He did 40 straight dates on the road before taking a two day break and today he’s back to jaunting different cities. Besides going to radio station and doing in-stores, Ace will be making surprise performance appearances on Lil’ Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” tour which is back up and running. To top it off, Ace already has his next video in the can. No struggling, he cuddling. “Body To Body” finds Ace and Chris Brown seducing women.

“Life for Ace Hood right now is phenomenal,” Ace, the new father of twin girls testified. “I’m definitely in a better position than, let’s say, a year ago. Life is wonderful. I wake up everyday and continue to do what I love. I see my fans every single day. I’m in a position now where I can provide for not just my little ones, but my entire family. Life is what I wanted it to be. I can’t complain at all. God has been good.”

Odd Future Re-Ignite Chris Brown Beef, Plead For VMA

Posted in Beef, MTV, VMA with tags , , on June 20, 2011 by breezyworld2

So much for a peace treaty. Late Friday evening heated words were exchanged between singer Chris Brown and Odd Future producer Frank Ocean over social network Twitter that resulted in rapper The Game calling for an end to the beef. In a compliment gone bad scenario, according to Breezy he attempted to give the talented singer props when Ocean shot back comparing him to Sisqo and a “young Ike Turner.” For his part Brown was having none of it.

“I f— with Frank Ocean! Reminds me of a young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum” Brown tweeted.
“[I] f—s wit chris brown, reminds me of a young sisqo or ike turner” Ocean shot back. “[I] just dont like underhanded comments. thats all im saying.” From there it was all downhill following the OFWGKTA words aimed at Brown.

“[It] was a compliment you b—h ass n—a. Everybody claim to be the devil till they meet him,” tweeted Brown. “[F]–k odd future! Make sure y’all smalltime n—-s stick yo chess out when u speak to me.”

After a few more exchanges between the two that also saw Tyler jumping in the mix, the beef appeared to die down towards the end of night. Rapper The Game even shared his own words of advice for the clashing youngsters.

“@f—tyler the homie & @frankocean just starting what can be a long successful career.. Don’t f–k it up by beefin’ Game tweeted. “FOCUS ni**as, FOCUS !!!” “focus on ‘YOU’ blood” Game then suggested to Brown. “BEEF aint gettin n!ggas nowhere these days. All you do is LOSE, endorsements, appearances & oppurtunities.”

Apparently the OF guys shrugged Game’s advice off when the following day the collective held a sold out show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles where Ocean and Tyler picked apart Brown apart once more.

“That ni–a’s a loser” Ocean said about Brown. “He beats up women” Tyler added in to a towards a hostile crowd that chanted “F–k Chris Brown.” On the opposite end Brown and his Twitter page remained silent. The singer’s original tweets from this past Friday have also been since removed.

Prior to their Chris Brown rant Tyler spoke on his recent video that currently didn’t recieve the support from MTV and his goal to secure the networks prized moonman award.

“I put videos together and there’s this one video that I put out about two weeks ago that MTV won’t f—ing play over some bullsh-t” Tyler told the audience. “That makes me really sad because one day i’ve always wanted to get a VMA.”

Video: Chris Brown Freestyles on MTV2’s ‘Full Throttle’

Chris Brown delivers a freestyle as Funkmaster Flex mans the turntables in his garage for “Funk Flex Full Throttle,” airing Sundays at 1:30 p.m. on MTV2. “I think I’m King Kong, Godzilla/ I go a couple rounds, man, the thrilla in Manila,” spits Breezy. How did he do?

Justin Bieber, Chris Brown Set To Shoot ‘Next 2 You’ Video

Posted in Justin Bieber, MTV on May 11, 2011 by breezyworld2

Chris Brown recently took the stage with Justin Bieber during the Biebs’ tour stop in Australia, where they performed “Up,” and now the two will begin work on a video for Brown’s F.A.M.E. track “Next 2 You.”

Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, confirmed the video plans on Twitter. “NP- #Next2You w/ @justinbieber and @chrisbrown – video treatment is crazy … yeah it’s coming!!” he wrote.

With little known about what these two have in store for fans, MTV News spoke to Brown in March about working with the teen star on the track. “Being able to collab with [Bieber] was great,” Brown said. “He’s a young, energetic cat, so being able to work with him, with the fanbase he has, was incredible. I know a lot of little girls are going to love this record.

“I wouldn’t say [he’s] my protégé. He’s doing his thing at a young age, and I was doing mine at a young age, so being able to see him come up is dope.”

The midtempo ballad is about the power of love and making the pledge to spend your life with that special someone. The chorus says, “One day when the sky is fallin’/ I’ll be standing right next to you, right next to you/ Nothing will ever come between us/ ‘Cause I’ll be standing right next to you, right next to you.”

While it’s a feel-good track, Brown joked that when recording the song, he missed his chance to hit the studio with Bieber. “I actually stood him up on accident,” Brown recalled. “He was kind of mad … I was all the way on the other side of town handling some business, ‘girl business,’ and I was rushing back, and by that time, he’s like, ‘Man, I’m leaving, bro. I did it — just check it out.’ And I looked at it and listened to it and I was like, ‘Man, this is crazy.’ … He’s a great kid.”

Breezy was spotted partying with Weezy in Florida…

Posted in MTV on May 9, 2011 by breezyworld2

Chris Brown celebrated his birthday in style last week, after partying with Lil Wayne in Florida.

The She Ain’t You singer hit Club Play in Miami Beach with Weezy on Friday evening, as the pair were joined by the likes of Roscoe Dash and Trina to raise a toast for Breezy’s 22nd birthday.

Chris, who worked with Lil Wayne on track Look At Me Now, was given a special birthday cake with his face on it, as the treat also featured his album title F.A.M.E. etched in icing.

As well as teaming up with the Young Money CEO to celebrate his birthday, the Yeah 3x hitmaker was also spotted partying in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Brown’s pal, Justin Bieber, also tried to wish Breezy a happy birthday, but ended up phoning the wrong number and speaking to an old man instead!

Chris, who was recently struck with a severe viral illness, has also been warned by his mother, Joyce Hawkins, to talk about his 2009 assault on Rihanna, in a bid to help the star “lean to deal” with the incident.

Chris Brown’s Mom Urges Son To ‘Deal With’ Turbulent Past

Posted in MTV on May 7, 2011 by breezyworld2

The 2009 assault charges involving then girlfriend Rihanna, ensuing legal implications and public embarrassment that continues to plague R&B crooner Chris Brown, even as he rehabs his tarnished image, has compelled the singer’s mother Joyce Hawkins to urge her troubled son to face up to his past demons in order to triumph over the very public debacle.

In an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Ms. Hawkins gives stern words of advice as only a mother can to the “Look At Me Now” star. She tells the magazine, “He has to learn to deal with it and go on with his life. This is something that happened; it was a huge mistake…it was not good at all. But he is still a human being and we all make mistakes and we live and we go on with it. But he has to own it, deal with it and move on with his life.” Ms. Hawkins also added, “I think he really needs to talk about the situation in itself, what actually happened to Rihanna…so that he can get that out for himself.”

Echoing facts many news outlets and fans have already noted, the Virginia native has not taken well to criticism of his violent behavior in the past and has reacted in ways that alerted many to feel Brown suffers with longstanding anger management issues. It was reported that earlier this spring, Brown smashed the set of Good Morning, America after host Robin Roberts dug in with questions that hit too close to home to the Rihanna assault case.

Currently riding high on the crest of success with his latest album F.A.M.E., Breezy recently completed an Australian tour featuring fellow heartthrob Justin Bieber and also performed some acts of charity while on the island continent.

Fans Angry Over Chris Brown Gig Cancellation

Posted in MTV on May 5, 2011 by breezyworld2

Despite offering his apologises and issuing a statement that a full refund would be given to those who had purchased tickets, some fans Down Under seem less than impressed with Brown’s no-show.

Ryan Hesford and girlfriend, Aleisha Puca – who brought their $149 tickets to see Chris in January – have told Yahoo News Australia that when they heard Breezy had axed his performance, they thought it was a joke.

Hesford told the website: “It is really disappointing. I’ve been told it will take up to two weeks to get a refund and that’s $300 I could have really done with at the moment. But I suppose if he’s sick, then he’s sick.”

The 21-year old has since taken to Twitter to tell his followers of his illness, posting a snap of him looking a little worse for wear on the social-networking site, accompanied with the message: “Sick face.”

He later added the comment: “Still feel like s**t. Doctor told me I had the flu and it turned into a bacterial chest infection. Super meeds!”

According to Yahoo, there are currently no plans to reschedule Breezy’s Perth show.

Tyga hit the “RapFix Live” couch on Wednesday and among the many topics he discussed was his friendship with Chris Brown.

In the wake of Brown’s damaged reputation after his infamous altercation with Rihanna in 2009, Tyga became one of the beleaguered R&B singer’s trusted confidantes and musical collaborators. The pair released the joint mixtape Fan of a Fan in 2010, and the single “Deuces” from the project went on to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The Grammy-nominated song was a natural result of the two artists getting to know each other better.

“I could tell after the situation, he wasn’t comfortable about doing certain stuff because he was listening to the wrong people or just listening to the media and stuff and it was eating him up as an artist, creatively,” Tyga told MTV News. “We just hung out. We didn’t even start doing music. I didn’t even pressure him to get on no songs with me or anything. He used to just come to the studio when I was doing mixtape stuff and just vibe. We used to sit there and just chill, joke all day and then have fun.”

During that period Brown, who was known for dropping pop/R&B hits like “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” and “Forever,” began recording music that showcased him not only as a crooner but as a rapper. Such is the case on the recent chart-topper “Look At Me Now,” featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, off Brown’s F.A.M.E. album. And Tyga told us he fully supports Brown’s MC aspirations.

“When he started rapping I was just like, ‘Rap, if that’s what you feel like, rap,’ ” Tyga said. ” ‘Do whatever makes you comfortable. You can’t wait for somebody else. Your fans they love you for you. We can shoot these mixtape videos,’ and that’s what we started doing. We shot like four videos back-to-back.”

Those videos were for “G Sh–,” “Holla at Me,” “Deuces,” and “No BS,” which all featured Brown and first appeared on Fan of a Fan.

While Tyga helped Chris Brown come out of what has been the lowest point of his fairly young career with his musical mojo intact, the Compton rapper never considered any backlash he may have received because of the alliance.

“I mean, I didn’t do anything wrong, so why would I get fault for it?” Tyga said. “I’m just a friend supporting and just helping out. I was a fan of him. I’m not gonna [go], ‘Oh, he did something bad,’ and follow the rest of the crowd. I don’t judge people like that.”
